Setting The Path Of "Favorites" Button.

Hi. Now, I know this all may sound trivial, but, just bear with me. I recently reviewed a site, which, in turn, made my blog my default page when viewing my profile.

I would like to suggest a feature that lets you set the path of your "Favorites" button...or at least lets you choose which page is viewed first upon visiting said profile (whether it's me viewing or somebody else).

I know I will review some sites from time to time...but not enough to REALLY fill my blog, and I'd like to be able to skip the step of having to click an extra button to get to my actual favorites.

Tell me if I'm crazy.

Thanks

I think this sounds like a reasonable request - some of the discrepancy, if one might call it that, arises from the fact that we are almost always in a state of flux, adding new pages, tabs, and views.

In principle, I guess it would be easy to add a new (optional?) toolbar icon that would link to the "Pages I liked" tab (but I say that without any idea at all of the coding that may be involved).

I see a couple of potential issues:

* Toolbar real-estate
    For those who already have everything turned on, including the text labels, the toolbar is already pushing the limits of available space

* No matching icon
    The toolbar icons are largely a direct match for the "iconised" pages of your profile. Currently there is no matching icon for "Pages I Liked", partly because it doesn't occupy a unique, dedicated tab of its own.

I offer these observations not to shoot the idea down (I actually like it), but to provide some insight into what it might not be as simple as it might otherwise seem.

A work-round, for those inclined, might be to simply create a bookmark (or a scripty thing) that links directly to this content. The SU-Extensibility guys would, no doubt, be all over that in a heartbeat.

Are you talking about this page strangej.stumbleupon.com/favorites/ [strangej.stumbleupon.com/favorites/] ?

2, 3: If I understood well, he wants an option to set a different page (e.g. "Pages I liked" aka /favorites/) which would be the default view for his blog. In other words, if you visit digmejesus.stumbleupon.com [digmejesus.stumbleupon.com] you would get redirected to a different web address, let's say digmejesus.stumbleupon.com/favorites/ [digmejesus.stumbleupon.com/favorites/]

Karo, that is exactly correct.

I like it. The new options for showing other people Grid or List are great, this would be one step further towards being able to customize our default blog view.
