Review a site without blogging it?

VrokolosApr 29, 6:23am
I need to review a site without automatically blogging it.
I like my blog to be about a specific topic only but I usually want to rate other off-topic websites.
My suggestion is to either separate the website reviews into a separate tab from the blog or allow us to create more than one blogs.

No, it is impossible once you reach the limit.

stumbleupon.com/help.html [stumbleupon.com/help.html]

Members who repeatedly post from a particular site (often their own) find that some of those posts fail to appear on their blog pages.

We have a limit in place that prevents multiple posting from a single source. If you habitually post content from a small set of domains, you may have encountered this limit. You can verify this by thumbing a page from a site which you have not previously rated; if the rating fails only for the site which you have previously rated & reviewed, then it is likely that you have encountered the posting limit.

If you wish to actively promote a site, business or service - you might find this service more appropriate: stumbleupon.com/ads/ [stumbleupon.com/ads/]

Note that, once encountered, the limit cannot and will not be lifted.

Just a suggestion, you can use tags to orginize your reviews.

For example, you can tag some pages as "blog" and "review". You would get the following pages: vrokolos.stumbleupon.com/tag/blog/ [vrokolos.stumbleupon.com/tag/blog/] and vrokolos.stumbleupon.com/tag/review/ [vrokolos.stumbleupon.com/tag/review/]

nice suggestion! Is there a way to only display those 2 tags in my about page so others can start from there?

That was incredibly fast.

I think this is a good idea. I would defently want sites that I dislike not to show up on the blog, which is the reason why I don't Thumb down sites on StumbleUpon. When I dislike a site I do not wish to see them on my blog. :D

Sites that you thumb down don't appear on your public profile unless you add a review to it.
