Sponsor | imorgen | Apr 30, 7:35am | | Here's a thought - when a site is available in two or more languages, we still only have the option of selecting one. Given that English is the most commonly used on here, that's usually the one chosen. I think if there was an option to add the alternative language(s), it would mean more people whose first language is not English would get stumbles they might otherwise miss out on likewise those who speak more than one language. Added bonus: People of 'different' nationalities (ie from countries where English is not the predominant language) would find SU more appealing and the SU experience more enjoyable. |

But, heck, I could be wrong, maybe I just haven't run across the multitudes of sites that have two or more languages on every page... |

I have to say though, that many are in one language with the option of others. Therefore I do think this would be a useful feature.
Of course people could not be expected to know every language a site was available in, nor to use this feature, but still I'm certain it would be used and useful. |

It goes back to the need for multiple URLs to be grouped together. I'm hoping it's the future of SU, but it's probably a technical nightmare. There are just so many pages duplicated because of little differences. |
